Tamora Pierce Bookmark SAL - Release 7 Design Insights

We're back for another release of the Tamora Pierce Bookmark SAL! This week's bookmark was inspired by the Trickster books. Now I have to admit, I didn't read these ones until I was older, in my early twenties (unlike the Circle books and Lioness, Immortals, and Protector of the Small series which I read in my teens) so they don't hold the same adoration from me that the other books do. That being said they're still good books, I really love the character development of Aly, and that the books touch on some darker topics (briefly) than a lot of the older books, showing how Tamora's writing style is/was still developing along with the Young Adult genre in general.

I really love the crows, and I love that they brought back the Darkings (if you can't tell from the bookmark edging!) We ended up going with this quote because I feel it fits reading in general very well - the written word can be powerful, in the right places.

This one is pretty simple to stitch up, only a couple of colors, and we hope you enjoy it!
